Chester A. McPherson, Esq., is a Jamaican native and a Washington, D.C. attorney specializing in trust, estates and other related matters.

He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995 with a Juris Doctor, and in 2010 with a Master of Laws in Taxation (with Distinction) and a Certificate in Estate Planning Law. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration (finance, magna cum laude) in 1992 from Baruch College, The City University of New York, where he was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Mr. McPherson also graduated from the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now know as the University of Technology) in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, in 1984 with a Diploma (accounting). He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar (Estate, Trusts and Probate Law section, Taxation section), the Maryland State Bar (Elder Law section, Estate and Trust Law section), the Washington Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Mr. McPherson has served and continues to serve in a number of different community and civic activities. He is a member of Leadership Greater Washington, class of 2008, serves on the United Way of the National Capital Area Affordable Housing Initiative Steering Committee, is a mentor with Capital Partners for Education, and is an active member of his church, Unity of Washington, D.C. He has served as President & Chair of the Board of the Crispus Attucks Development Corporation, a small Washington, D.C. neighborhood non-profit, from November 1998 to Jun. 2003; has served as a Pro-bono Attorney with the Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Washington, D.C.; as mentor with the Thurgood Marshall Academy, Washington, D.C., and as a Member, Board of Directors, & Chair, Finance Committee of the Dance Institute of Washington, from December 2005 to December 2006.
